Scope of Works – Transplant 8 large Ficus hillii to accommodate road widening. With the ever  increasing traffic flow in Brisbane, the continuation of the road widening of the Inner City Bypass meant the relocation of these beautiful old trees.

This job bought with it many obstacles and the works were conducted at night due to lane closure restrictions. Our team would start at 9pm working through til the early hours of the following morning.

Working with BMD Civil, the trees were prepped for transplant including canopy lift and root pruned. Lift equipment was attached to each tree in readiness for the move.

We could then successfully transplant 3 trees a night once the preparation had been completed. It was a requirement of this contractor, that the trees of this size have an anchoring system to ensure stability during unseasonal weather. These trees have established well in their new positions.
